No. 19 rebels in Hawaii for new year’s Eve ‘ business travel ‘

HONOLULU–Anthony Marshall reached 19 points and 13 rebounds, and Mike Moser added 15 points and 12 rebounds as the 19th-ranked UNLV 74-69 held off Hawaii at Stan Sheriff Center.

Marshall scored 14 points in the second half to help the rebels (15-2) regained some rally by the Warriors (8-6).

Down 35-28 on a part-time basis, Hawaii closing the gap to 58-56 in Joston Thomas ‘ layup with eight minutes left. Quintrell Thomas and Moser each scored in the prior to Marshall a pair of perimeter jumpers to put UNLV 69-59 with 4: 36 to go.

Fighters who fought back to within four, but Chace Stanback jumper from the right corner gives the rebels led 70-64 with 2: 19 left. A minute later, Marshall made a determined drive to the rim and score a goal to extend the margin to eight.
